今更、入替。ここは pkgsrc を使っていないので..

tar zxf
./configure
make
mv /usr/local/apache /usr/local/apache-1.3.20
make install
cp -p /usr/local/apache-1.3.20/conf/httpd.conf /usr/local/apache/conf/

server-info を見てから確認と思ったが、 mod_info.c が有効になっていないらしい。

mod_info モジュール (http://httpd.apache.org/docs/mod/mod_info.html)

INSTALLL の中に、次のような部分があって

LIST OF AVAILABLE MODULES
....
   Internal Content Handlers
   (-) mod_info ......... Content handler for server 
                               configuration summary
....
(+) = enabled  per default [disable with --disable-module]
(-) = disabled per default [enable  with --enable-module ]

./configure --enable-module=info
とすればいいらしい。という訳で、

make
/usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl stop
make install 
/usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl start

したら /server-info が見えるようになった。

＠実は 1.3.9 の機械があったのでそれも 1.3.26 に:

方法は全く同じ。

＠もう一つ pkgsrc 版:

apache6-1.3.22      HTTP (Web) server with IPv6 support

==> Installing for apache6-1.3.26nb2
[PRESERVING EXISTING CONFIG FILE: /usr/pkg/etc/httpd/httpd.conf]

Running PKG_DBDIR=/var/db/pkg /usr/sbin/pkg_delete -r apache6-1.3.22
pkg_delete: couldn't entirely delete package `cvsweb-1.112'
(perhaps the packing list is incorrectly specified?)

If you won't be using cvsweb-1.112 any longer, you may want to remove:

  /usr/pkg/etc/httpd/cvsweb.conf
