#2 [Abuse] DNS の再帰調査問題

3/17 の日記に、「DNS の設定に options recursion no;」という題名の件を書いたが、どうも、良くないことが起きているらしい。3/29 日付で、 JPCERT からもお知らせが出たそうだ。しかし、


Recursive server	キャッシュサーバ
Authoritative server	コンテンツサーバ

って誰が考えた訳だろう。ちょっと非道すぎる。実は DNS & BIND の日本語訳を見た時にも、Authoritative を権威というような文字を使って訳していて、ああ、この人は何も分っていない、というか、人に分らせようという気持がないな、と思って、もちろん買わなかった。で、どう訳せばいいか。本当は訳の問題ではなくて、理解の問題かも知れない。


英語	意味	相手	平たく言えば	で何て訳す ?
Recursive server	再帰調査	PC	(自分のお客様相手に)とことん調べる、但し情報は受売	受売サーバ
Authoritative server	情報提供	サーバ	全てのサーバに自分の情報を通知	提供サーバ

っていうことなんだな。小売と卸しの関係という方がいいような気もするが。というよりも、寧ろ次のような方がいい。


Recursive server	伝達サーバ
Authoritative server	発信サーバ

#3 [pkgsrc] librsvg2 problem on 2.14.x

bulk-pkgsrc での 2006/03/17 の報告と同じように .libs/librsvg-2-symbols.expsym not in となってしまうので、次のようにして回避

This makes gimp to work on Mac mini/Intel Solo (You need to type 'gimp' in xterm (X11) window).
