どうも値下りしたらしい。知合いが、1.6G x 1 を買って、届いて、梱包を開ける前に、40k 値下りしたとなげいている。
そういう時って、(良心的な)販売店なら、在庫がないって断わるのでは ? という気もするのだが..
前の値段を覚えていないので.. とりあえず(現在価格を)記録しておく
NetBSD 動くのかなぁ。

確かに。「買ったけれど、実はもっといいものがあった。開封していないのだから、返す」と。
でも、そのメールを読んだ時は、開けた後。(のまつり)。
しかし、お店に文句を言ったら、
「おいでになっていただければ差額はお返しします」
だそうです。

C-h n の Emacs-NEWS の次のところ、良く読んでいなかった(ので)

* Changes in Emacs 21.1 ** The default binding of the Delete key has changed.

The new user-option `normal-erase-is-backspace' can be set to determine the effect of the Delete and Backspace function keys.

On window systems, the default value of this option is chosen according to the keyboard used. If the keyboard has both a Backspace key and a Delete key, and both are mapped to their usual meanings, the option's default value is set to t, so that Backspace can be used to delete backward, and Delete can be used to delete forward. On keyboards which either have only one key (usually labeled DEL), or two keys DEL and BS which produce the same effect, the option's value is set to nil, and these keys delete backward.

If not running under a window system, setting this option accomplishes a similar effect by mapping C-h, which is usually generated by the Backspace key, to DEL, and by mapping DEL to C-d via `keyboard-translate'. The former functionality of C-h is available on the F1 key. You should probably not use this setting on a text-only terminal if you don't have both Backspace, Delete and F1 keys.

Programmatically, you can call function normal-erase-is-backspace-mode to toggle the behavior of the Delete and Backspace keys.

normal-erase-is-backspace が t になり、 Backspace は前の文字を消去、Del は後の文字を消去する。 (英語と逆の表現になってしまっているが、どちらが前かの価値観が違う気がする)

emacs -q で起動して見ると、そうなっていない気がする ..

Backspace と Delete が共に「前の文字を消去する」 C-d が「後の文字を消去する」

normal-erase-is-backspace が nil になっているなぁ。何故 ?

しても同じような ? 何故 ?
