NetBSD 以外で NetBSD パッケージコレクション を利用するには、bootstrap-pkgsrc を使う。 それには:

1. /usr/pkgsrc をもってくる
2. /usr/othersrc/bootstrap-pkgsrc をもってくる
3. (su) cd /usr/othersrc/bootstrap-pkgsrc && ./boot-strap
4. (su) /etc/mk.conf を用意する。例えば: cp /usr/othersrc/bootstrap-pkgsrc/mk.conf.example /etc/mk.conf
5. 後は /usr/pkgsrc/*/* の必要なところで bmake; bmake install
