NetBSD 絹の日記

いつも使っている 4.0 の機械は Firefox や emacs が良く落ちる。何とか更新したい。そういう時には別の機械で用意しておいて移行する。しかし、この別の機械の方で X がうまく動いていない(詳しくは忘れている)
それで、最近やっと ssh -X -Y のやり方が分ったので (nork さんありがとう)、いつも使っている 4.0 の機械から、新しい方に ssh で入って、そちらで (きのうから) X のクライアントを動かすようにしている。それで firefox や emacs を新しく作って見た。
-X -Y の両方を付ける必要はなく、どちらか片方で良い、と教えてもらいました。
古くは -X、最近は -Y と理解しました。man ssh を見よ、ということで、簡単には


選択	意味
-X	Enables X11 forwarding
-Y	Enables trusted X11 forwarding

ということで。 .. この理解は問題があるらしい、
通常は -X を使う、もしこれでだめで、昔と同じ挙動がどうしても必要な時には -Y を使うというのが安易な理解のようだ。

メモリ・リークがあるのかな、良く
