[機械] WD-2500JS がこわれた
最近の仕事に使っていた CVS 保管庫になっている ML-115 G1 に入っている
Western Digital の 250GB の disk がこわれてしまった。
中央付近が全く読めないような状態になっている。
cvs の操作が遅いな。Memory が 256MB では少ないかな、と思って良く見たら
disk error が沢山出ていた。
しかも肝心な部分の back up がなかった。でも 10/20 頃のものは
Note PC (Let's Note R4) にあったので、
途中の変更過程は別として、失なった資料はなかったと思う。
DOM0 の /usr とかもこわれていた。
また別の DOMU の kurobsd の区画は全く無傷。御心配をおかけしました
(これは backup もあったのだけれど)。現在は復帰していると思う。
もしかすると DOM0 で動かしていた機能がまだ回復していないかも知れない。

[NetBSD] Xen が grub 無で起動可能と
「Xen が grub 無で起動可能」と聞いていたが、実際にどうする
のかまだ分っていない。しかし
port-xen
を見ていたら
boot.cfg
という単語が出て来ている。irc で man boot.cfg したら、と教わった。
しかし NetBSD-4.0 ではその man
はまだない。この前入れた 4.99.72 に
行ったら、
その man
があった。
man2html って pkgsrc には見つからない。
上の link は
man boot.cfg | cat
しておいて切貼したもの。

[車] 納車 Odyssey
本田オデッセイ
1994 年 初代 RA1 型。
これって、所謂ミニバンらしい。
走行距離 38,720 km から開始。
実は古すぎるらしくて、車両保険に入れないと言われてしまった。
入れます車両保険とかないのかな。
「車両保険に入れない」で google すると、
古い車、並行輸入車、事故率が高いというような理由で入れないもの
があるようだ。当然保険会社にもよると思うけれど。僕の場合は
ソニー損保。
今度のは、
前の車と殆んど同じ頃作られたものなので、
前の車に続けて乗っていると思うと、納得が行く気がする。
実際に運転して見ると、今度は、前と違って
自動変速(AT)なので、
レンタカーを借りている気分。
二列目の座席も半分づつたためるので、三人乗りとか、縦二人乗りとか
出来るのが面白い。

[MacOSX] MacOS 10.1.1 が出ていた。14.4MB
apache6 に ssl を加えようとしたら、apache-1.3.22 が入っていないって。
apache6 ではだめか。確か何かは apache6 でも良かったはずだが。(php3 ?)

[MacOSX] (NetBSD) pkgsrc samba の動作確認を MacOSX で
Business($200..)/Home(非営利, $59)/Free(3 階層,二接続まで) があるらしい
Free のところから、Sharity.2.6.Home-MacOSX.dmg.gz
をもらって来て、mount して、
いきなり起動したら
Error connecting to daemon: [2] No such file or directory
....
と言われた。Readme.rtf を読んでいなかった。読んで、その通りにして
再起動したが、まだ同じ。どうも /Library/StartupItems にいれるものを
~/Library/StartupItems に入れてしまったらしい。
GUI から /Library ってどこに見えたか良く分らない。
CUI で修正、再起動。
こんどは大丈夫。
/var/run/samba/browse.dat を見ながら、
Workgroup: MYGROUP として見る。WINS Server: と License: は空白のまま。
そうしたら「コンピュータ」に CIFS のアイコンが見える。

先日書いた、こわれた索引は setenv LANG C してから mknmz
したものだった。
Perl を
NetBSD/packages というか pkgsrc から入れると、
いつも僕のやっている
./Configure -des -U d_setlocale
が出来ない。(する方法を知らない)
それで perl を起動すると、

のようにうるさいので、setenv LANG C してから
