To start mysqld at boot time you have to copy
support-files/mysql.server to the right place for your system

PLEASE REMEMBER TO SET A PASSWORD FOR THE MySQL root USER !
To do so, start the server, then issue the following commands:

/usr/pkg/bin/mysqladmin -u root -h m08 password 'new-password'

Alternatively you can run:
/usr/pkg/bin/mysql_secure_installation

which will also give you the option of removing the test
databases and anonymous user created by default.  This is
strongly recommended for production servers.

You can start the MySQL daemon with:
cd /usr/pkg ; /usr/pkg/bin/mysqld_safe &

You can test the MySQL daemon with mysql-test-run.pl
cd /usr/pkg/mysql-test ; perl mysql-test-run.pl

• 実は mlterm は一度だけ起動したことがあった気がするが、使おうという気持はなかった
• (env LANG=ja_JP.eucJP xterm で起動した中で) fc-list をすると、(日本語の文字が)化ける
• mlterm かなと思って使って見たら --aa=true (anti-alias) が効かない (man にはあるのに、「そんな選択肢はないよ」と言われる)
• pksrc/x11/mlterm/options.mk を見たら m17nlib uim xft2 のような文字が見えるので、 /etc/mk.conf に次のように書いて作って見た
