mod_perl を入れようと思って Unix Magazine 1998/01 pp46-55 に記事があるのを見つけた。それを見て CPAN module で install Bundle::LWP って、やったら、 Perl-5.6.0 まで入れてくれて、いつもなら Configure -des -U d_setlocale で全ておしまいなのに -des 無でやっているから、何回も何回 も質問して来てなかなか終らない。 5.6.0 は良くない話も良く聞くから、あまり入れたくなかったのだけれど。 これでは Web server で動いている機械には CPAN module は使えないかな。 それにいい加減に答えていたら、次のようになってしまった。

でも Perl は新しくなっていない。動作確認のためだけに perl-5.6 を作ったのかな。 と思ったら perl の部分は次のように止っていた。

xdm が動かないので、あきらめて Xserver を setuid して使おうと思ったら 既にそうなっていた。xdm は XF86 4.0.1 の場合皆様使わないのかな。
