Retrieving ${DISTBASE} is tricky 


(Provided)
${PKGNAME}  =${PKGBASE}+ ${PKGVERSION}
(pkgsrc deal)

(but we need)
${DISTNAME} = ${DISTBASE}  + ${VERSION}
(upstream deal)

${PKGBASE} and ${DISTBASE} are not always the same
check-update needs ${VERSION} (and ${DISTBASE})
