[NetBSD] Installing NetBSD/macppc to PowerBook G3 Pismo
以前に 4.0 が入っていた PowerBook G3 Pismo に sysinst で入れた。
という訳で、boot の設定には苦労せずに起動出来た。
ただし X11 がまだ動いていない
2008/11
と同じ問題が出ていると理解している。

In this build.sh, kernel (KUROBOX) won't be compiled, so I did
sudo ./build.sh -j 8 -T /export/src-20120117-patched/obj/tooldir.NetBSD-5.1-amd64
kernel=KUROBOX
And netbsd.bin built.
I have copied this netbsd.bin onto USB memory stick and booted on TeraStation.
Kernel booted fine.
The dmesg for 5.99.60.

して見た。
それと今まで import 時にいろいろと失敗をして、
wip/import-package.sh
を使えば、? と言われていたので、それを一か所自分用に編集して使って
見た。これで練習になる (練習するほどのものでもなく、一回使えば分るものだけれど)

と書いたのだけれど、どうも復活している気がする。
何も変更していないはずだが、不思議。

ftp.jp.netbsd.org の方は機械の故障で動いていない。
base.tgz と etc.tgz を展開して、./dev で ./MAKEDEV all しておく
kboot: のところで
kboot: tftp://hoge.example.com/ps3/netbsd-PS3.gz
と入れるとその kernel は読んで起動してくれる。
dhcp server にそれなりに設定しておくと、次のようなところ
までは進む。/dev がない時には、warning no console と出たから、
/ を見に行くところまでは進んでいるような気がする。

./sbin/init を隠しておくと init がないと言って panic するので、
init が起動するところまでは進んでいるはず。

xdm で ssh-agent を使う
別件で、ssh-agent についてちょっと変なものを用意した。
xdm を使っていると、ssh-agent を起動してから X11 の窓を使うというのが
しっくり来ない。そこで .xsession で ssh-agent を起動しておいて、後からそれを利用
するというのを考えて見た。次のような手続を使う。使い方は次の通り。
- .xsession の内で起動しておく ( ssh-start start)
- xterm の窓でもう一度起動。この時には普通は環境変数だけを設定する
- どこかの xterm で一回だけ ssh-add しておく

安全(security)度は ? unix 許可に依存。
別に .xsession で起動しなくても xterm で起動すれば同じかな
(でも自動で起動しておいてくれるというのが有難い)。... どうせ一回は必要だから、
回数は減らない ?
これにより、 xterm を開く。eval `~/bin/ssh-start` する。だけで、その後は
何も聞かれないで ssh が使える。

eval と source の違いを手早く説明出来ないなぁ。
目的語が文字列か譜名かという違いかな。

emacs-w3m を入れた後に wl を make install する必要がある。
(正直言って、あまりいい方式とは思えないが、きっと、反対
「emacs-w3m が入っていてもいなくても elmo-shimbun.el を入れる」

きのう CDROM を作って入れた 20011016 は:
色々あって、どうもすぐに止ってしまう
(Emacs とかで画面がそのまま固まる)
ので、で、使っている disk( Seagate 20G) が一度だけ発病したことがあるやつなので、
それも関係あるのかな、と、きょうは(作り直した CDROM を使って)
Quantum FireBall 10G に入直して見ているが、先ほど 12:20 分頃また固まった。
いまは 30 分くらい動いている。
- 鍵の対応が変な気もする。root では正常、通常使用者で変。 いまは xmodmap しているので、問題なし。(本当は問題があると思う)
